Wait, can we take an intermission, I need to catch up!
Let's start where the last post left off...
I got to leave work to drop stuff off in D-town, and then got to go home early!! That was nice, getting home before 5:30, and not having to deal with rush hour. Went home for the night, fun family time.
The next morning I got up and went to the eye doctor where they told me that yet again, my eyes have gotten worse. On the bright side, I'm getting a new pair of glasses! Mom got a pretty cool pair too, they're black plastic frames, you know, nerd looking glasses. They look really cool on her.
Next was Ryan's concert, which was great! He did such a great job conducting, and his arrangement worked really well for the kids. If only we could have heard his whole joke, instead of him saying he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed... I can't wait to see his concert on Thursday.
After the concert it was time for the Matrix. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I don't what else to say about it, other than if you haven't seen it, you totally should. Wow, it was awsome!
This morning I woke up, and drove back home to go see Blast. It was so cool! It would be great if I could get to do that one day!!! Maybe after I graduate....
Went to drive home and my low oil light came on, so I called my dad and had him meet me at a station in Royal Oak. (I didn't just fill it up myself because 1.) I wasn't positive of how, but I did figure it out and 2.) Many of you know that I have really bad luck with oil and engines, so I figured I should call.)
While I was waiting this crazy guy who looked kind like one of the skinny guys from Cool Runnings comes up and starts talking to me, it went something like this:
Him: Hi, you're beautiful, my name is Sam.
Me: Hi, thanks, I'm Alison (At this point I turn on my car, not really sure if that is a good idea, but just incase, and put my hand on the gear shift.)
Him: You're really beautiful and those sun glasses really set your face off, and they're beautiful and I don't want to spend my whole paycheck but...(trails off) You're beautiful and I wanted to tell you that.
Me: Thanks.
Him: You see I just got paid and I can't spend my whole paycheck
me: (thinking) where is he going with this?!?!?
Him: but you're so beautiful and I work for the government. You see, I'm a Kwame Kilpatrick kind of guy
me: (thinking) so you like strippers, where are you going with all of this, should I just drive away, what is going on, where is my dad...
Him: Do you live around here?
Me: No.
Him: You're not from the Royal Oak area?
Me: No.
Him: Well, I see you're not married, can I have you're number?
Me: No.
Him: Can I give you mine?
Me: No, Sorry, I have a boyfriend.
Him: Oh, well if I were him, I'd be right there next to you...
Me. I'm going to visit him right now.
Him: Oh, ok, well, it was nice to meet you, and once again you're beautiful.
Me: Thanks.
Ok, it really looks harmless now, but note to any guys wanting to pick up girls, try not to do it if she's alone at a gas station, it will only scare her!!!! I guess what really made if freakier was when he and his rather large friend we walking up, I heard them like saying, well look what we have here, or something.
But soon my dad showed up and all was right with the world.
