Oh this is interesting... Martha talks from prison. As you read the opening lines, you really have a hard time believing that she (or someone that is not an actor) wrote it. Check it out for a few giggles...

So I agree that people should be able to display holiday things in public places (so long as everyone has an opportunity to display things that have meaning to their religion as well). I guess I just figure if you strip away all of the reasons for this holiday season it's really just consumerism run amuck. But today I head something so assinine I felt like i needed to share it.

In a town in Oklahoma, the superintendant of a school district decided that the high school play could not feature a nativity scene during it. So, in response the voters in the town voted against a 10.4 million dollar millage to build an elementary school. Yeah, that'll show 'em. They don't let us have our nativity, we don't give our kids a new elementary school. I understand the idea that they were trying to make a stand, however, I really think there may have been a better way to do it.

I just want to say yet again that my Christmas tree makes me very happy! I guess I should elaborate a little. When I say happy, I mean the kind of happy that you see in little children. Wide-eyed, whimsically happy. The tree just makes me feel so much calmer all the time. G'night everyone!

Stolen from Cyn:

keep her warm if she's cold, tell her you think she's cool, talk to her every chance you get, hold her hand, tell her she looks pretty, let her pay for stuff if she wants to, sit in the park and talk to her, let her fall asleep in your arms, call her, call her back if she calls you, get her mad then kiss her, give her piggy back rides, give her space if she needs it, push her on the swings, stay up with her when she's sick, teach her something, buy her ice cream, look into her eyes, kiss her in the rain, and most important: when you fall in love with her, tell her.

Here's the movie poster. Anway, I'm pretty excited about it! Music by Danny Elfman.  Posted by Hello

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - the trailer for the Johnny Depp/Tim Burton version It looks like it's going to be amazing. Johnny's Willy Wonka looks a bit creepier than Gene Wilder, but it looks like it's going to be so great! I can't wait for July 15!!!!

I really like the movie Love Actually. Especially the scene where the guy tells the girl that he thinks she's perfect using posterboard. I guess you'd have to see it, and I think you should.

Finals and the idea that I will soon have to start work on Saturdays at 6:45 am have combined to make me have symptoms of IA. Never heard of IA? Maybe you've heard of it's more popular version, IMA or Irrational Morning Anger. IMA is where you wake up and are just mad at the world for no apparent reason. All of the symptoms of IMA wear off by about noon. With IA, or Irrational Anger, you might wake up cheerful, and chipper, but at some point, you begin to get angry at everything. Some clearly identifiable symptoms of IA are, wanting to hit every car that you see as you drive down the road, or at least yelling at most of them, snapping at inanimate objects and having one unfortunate thing after another occur to you, making you even more irrationally angry. Yup, this was definitely me this afternoon...

Everyone needs to take a break from finals and Make-a-Flake, snowflake that is!

You'll have to forgive all of the Christmas related pictures. I'm just in this super Christmas-y mood. And I found a fun website, flickr.com which lets you post your pictures and view other people's pictures. And there's a way to post them directly to your blog. It's very neat!! Have a great day!

I really like the movie Bend It Like Beckham. It's been on HBO lately, and I really dig it!!!

Ok loyal readers, I may be overreacting about this boy... Maybe he's just clueless. Let's go with that. Clueless...

Choose The Blue Interesting web site. Show's you what companies support which political party. Geared toward dems, but really anyone can check it out. It's pretty not offensive.

Maybe the problem with the guy is not all the stuff that I said before, maybe it's just that I can't handle a relationship that's not on my terms... or at least a little on my terms. Now on to telling him that...

Oh, and I can't stand it when someone in my building is smoking. It gets all in my apartment and makes it smell!!!!! I don't know who they are, but if I find them... watch out...

This might be the craziest semister that I've ever had. I feel like I just run around all day long and don't really get to do anything that I have to or want to do. It kinda stinks...

Adam and I now have a Christmas Tree! It's really exciting!!!! I decorated it today. It's amazing how much a simple tree will make the place seem like home. My mom and aunt donated all sorts of decorations to our apartment, so we're all decked out!

Last, I'm getting tired of being made up to. On one hand, I appreciate that this person cares enough to feel like they should make up to me, but on the other hand, maybe if they could just make it to something that I ask them to come to I wouldn't be needing the making up. I don't know. Things go so well with this guy for a while, and then I just get reminded that we're not getting too serious again. I'm ok with just doing this for fun, but I guess that's getting old. More on this later maybe... We'll just have to see... He could suprise me and show up tomorrow during the afternoon concerts. That would be nice, but I'm not really holding my breath for it.
