We want a diverse setting in our schools. We also would like to celebrate this diversity. And we would like our teachers to do this while turning a blind eye to the differences between children.

Huh??

If you can figure this out, I'd love to hear from you, cause I'm a little baffled by it.

Oh and one more crazy thing, I picked up my cap and gown yesterday!

Had to get rid of the fun little polls, they were messing everything up. Oh well...

Yahoo for a day off of school! The district I teach in is having a huge inservice, so huge that they felt they couldn't fit the student teachers in, thus I am at home, being lazy. Hopefully I'll get to working on stuff soon. We'll see...

I just watched what I think is my favorite Sex and the City episode ever. Carrie falls on the runway while she is being a real person "non-model" and is mortified. And instead of just slinking off the runway, she gets up, and gets more applause than anyone else. Sounds really stupid I know, but it was just nice to see someone fall, and get back up again. Today is such a great day!

Mid-winter Break!! It's nice to be off of school for a few days. Catch up on a few things. Mostly, I've been extremely lazy.

And I wrote a bunch today, so here they are:

I'm sucking at the whole online writing thing. Sorry about that.

Snow days were so much fun when I was a kid. But this one sucks. There are very few people in Ypsilanti, and now that I'm done sleeping in, I'm bored. So i'm continuing to teach myself to crochet. Or as Adam puts it, I'm training to be an old woman. Ok, that's all for now. Maybe I'll write another entry later at some point.

Next:
And for all of you Optimus Prime fans out there, if you were wondering what actually happened to him, there'sthis.

Well I had been posting to this, or so I thought, until this evening when I found that all alond I've been posting to my family blog that is basically for all of our events. So, sorry about the lack of posting.

However, I just heard something that I found kind of shocking. The government recommends that kids ride in car seats until they are 4'9''. I would have rode in a booster seat until I was like in 6th grade! Half of the kids I'm teaching should still be in one! Wild.
